Passing of Time (2017) began as a project studying the changes of the urban landscape in my home town of Chorley in the past century, and eventually became a project about my grandmother's early life in Chorley. Using digital and physical manipulation of images I have compiled photographs of Chorley in the 1940s with my own photographs of Chorley in 2016. I then photographed the street she was born and raised on with the very same Kodak Instamatic 104 she had taken on their honeymoon. Finally, I collected photographs of my grandparents in the late 1960s and letters my Grandad had written to my Grandma in 1962, when they were 19 and 17 years old, and layered these together.
